HCA Elementary School Positions for 2014-2015 - Part-Time Music Teacher: Looking for an experienced teacher whose background includes directing an after-school Choir and/or Band program. Part-Time Spanish Teacher: A roving teaching position responsible for teaching conversational Spanish in Grades JK-5. Part-Time Instructional Aide:Working with remedial and advanced students in areas of Reading, Language and Math; able to follow Lead Teacher's Lesson Plans; experience preferred, patience required. Featured Missionaries to Baguio, Philippines  - Richard and Tae Lamb are graduates of the Horizon School of Evangelism. For the past two years, Richard has served as the Principle at the Christian Academy of Baguio (CAB) – a school designed to educate missionary children. Tae also serves as a translator and teaches various English classes. Most of their time, they are working with school staff and parents, providing biblical guidance and discipleship. Please pray that God would help them effective lead the school through proper accreditation procedures with the Philippines’ Education Board. Once completed, this would open the doors to reach out to more children with Christian education.

Horizon University – HU is a nationally accredited institution committed to equipping students to establish their ministry – whether that ministry is full-time missions work in the far corners of the world, or whether it is a ministry in the cubicle at work. Core Groups - Core Groups are a central aspect of Horizon, and provide a chance for you to form close, personal relationships among a small group of about 10-15 people. These small groups provide a non-threatening opportunity for biblical discussion and spiritual growth, allowing you to engage in worship, prayer, and fellowship. Established 1828 - Established is a ministry focused on providing a place of community in the church for young adults ages 18-28. Join us Thursdays at 7pm in room 701 as we spend time together in worship, fellowship, and studying God’s Word. Info: destel@hcf.org.

Do You Know Somebody Currently Undergoing Chemotherapy? - The Horizon Cancer Ministry has collected and assembled Chemotherapy Care Packages as a ministry opportunity to help people. The contents include: Socks, Soft Toothbrush, Mouthwash, Toothpaste, Chap Stick, Hand Sanitizer, Lotion, Journal, and Crossword/game puzzle books. If you know of anybody who would be blessed with this gift, please contact Cesar Gervasi: cgervasi@hcf.org. If you would like to contribute to these care packages, you can find a flier with the list of specific needs at the info table in the gym foyer.

Cancer Ministry - We meet the 2nd Monday of each month. If you have cancer, are a survivor, or have a heart to minister to those with cancer, please join us for our next meetings on August 11th and September 8th, from 6:30-8:30pm in room 201 for worship, a devotion, prayer, and fellowship. Salt & Light Ministry - We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month in room 813 from 6:30-8:30pm. This ministry educates Christians about important current events and teaches them to examine those issues from a Biblical perspective. Our next meetings are August 12th and September 9th. The Most Excellent Way - The Most Excellent Way is a Christ-centered ministry helping people achieve freedom from alcoholism, drug abuse, and other life-dominating behaviors. We believe in Jesus’ promise “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed.” Meets every Tuesday (in the Cafe's ante-room through the wooden gate) and Friday (in room 207), from 7-8:30pm.
